College Credit Plus is a program in the state of Ohio where students may earn high school credit and college credit simultaneously.  Students can take courses in one of three ways 1) courses offered to students within the high school building (for select 10th grade students, 11th grade students and 12th grade students at Arcanum) 2) on-line or 3) at the college campus or university.  Classes (even courses taught within the high school building) are real college classes, they require a significant amount of time and energy.  Students and parents/guardians interested in the program must go through required counseling to learn about the advantages and disadvantages of the program.  Students who are interested in participating must submit an Intent to Participate form (see College Credit Plus Guide) by April 1 of the previous school year.

​Arcanum High School has partnered with Sinclair Community College in providing a pathway for students to pursue and earn an Associates of Arts - Liberal Arts Degree (LA.S.AA) with a combination of College Credit Plus courses offered at the high school and online.  Pursuing an Associates Degree takes considerable time and preparation.  For students wishing to pursue this, it is highly recommended they begin planning as early as their freshman year.  Please see Beth Kessler, High School Counselor, or Sarah Humphreys, Sinclair Transition Advisor for questions.
